Michael Hengstmann is Co-Founder and Partner of Management Capital Holding.
He was previously a Partner with One Equity Partners, JPMorgan’s $5 billion in-house private equity fund. Relevant transactions at OEP included HDW Howaldswerke Deutsche Werft, Mauser and Cybertrust.
In addition, Mr. Hengstmann was a Managing Director and Partner at AlixPartners, the global restructuring and consulting firm, where he participated in the company’s management buy-out. During this time, he also worked with Questor, an affiliated private equity fund specializing in special situationsthat used to be affiliated with AlixPartners. He also served as Interim Chief Restructuring Officer/Chief Financial Officer and Head of Sales in a mid-sized, family-owned German wholesale trade company.
He began his career at Arthur Andersen and was a Partner at LEK Consulting.
Mr. Hengstmann holds a Masters of Management Science degree with honors from the A.D. Little School of Management in Cambridge/USA and studied business and administration at the University of Duisburg.
