Michael Hengstmann founded M&A Management Capital and is co-founding Partner and Board Member of Management Capital Holding.
He previously held the position of Managing Director and Partner of AlixPartners, the leading global restructuring, consulting and financial advisory firm where he participated in the company’s management buy-out. At the same time, he worked with Questor, the private equity fund specializing in special situations and turnarounds that used to be affiliated with AlixPartners.
Before that, Mr. Hengstmann was a Partner with One Equity Partners (OEP) that manages investments and commitments for JPMorgan Chase & Co. in direct private equity transactions. Relevant transactions at OEP included HDW Howaldswerke Deutsche Werft, Cybertrust or Mauser Packaging.
Mr. Hengstmann also served as Interim Chief Restructuring Officer and Chief Financial Officer to actively support the turnaround and restructuring of companies and worked as a Sales Manager in an international wholesale trade company. He started his career at Arthur Andersen and was a Partner with LEK Consulting.
Mr. Hengstmann holds a Master of Science of Management degree with honors from the A.D. Little School of Management in Cambridge/USA, and studied business and administration at the University of Duisburg.
