Chris Saenger supports Management Capital Holding as Partner and Co-Investor in New York and is President of Reliant Star Capital, an independent private equity firm that is our exclusive industry partner in the U.S.
Mr. Saenger has over 15 years of private equity experience, including venture capital and leveraged buy-out transactions. He was Partner at One Equity Partners, the $5 billion private equity fund of J.P.Morgan/Bank One, where he led investments in a variety of industries including aviation and insurance. Mr. Saenger completed dozens of acquisitions as well as add-on acquisitions for portfolio companies. In addition, he served on the boards of numerous portfolio companies.
During his tenure there, Mr. Saenger took a leave of absence from OEP to work directly for Jamie Dimon, then the newly appointed CEO of Bank One. Mr. Saenger led a “skunk works” team focused on technology reviews of various departments, competitive benchmarking, acquisition target analysis and market research.
Before joining OEP, Mr. Saenger worked at Landmark Partners, the venture capital and secondary investment firm. He started his career with CIVC, the private equity group of Continental Bank. The co-heads of CIVC, Avy Stein and John Willis, now run their own private equity firm in Chicago, known as Willis Stein Partners.
Mr. Saenger earned a B.S. in economics cum laude from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA with a double major in finance and entrepreneurial management from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business.
