Ferdinand Freiherr von Wrede is Managing Director of the European Professional Publishing Group, Management Capital Holding’s media holding company for special interest publishing and professional publishing properties.
Previously, Mr. von Wrede was Head of Business Affairs at Süddeutscher Verlag, one of Germany’s leading media and publishing groups. There he managed the group’s legal department as well as numerous restructurings and new business initiatives—at first for the Professional Information Division and then for all group companies. He also led all M&A related activities at Süddeutscher Verlag.
Mr. von Wrede has served on several supervisory boards, including Verlag Moderne Industrie (Munich) and CB News S.A. (Paris). In addition, he was an Officer (Prokurist) of Süddeutscher Verlag and Süddeutscher Verlag Hüthig Fachinformationen GmbH, the entity for all professional publishing activities within the group.
Previously, he was a founding partner of the law firm Gregory Raven Wrede, where his practice encompassed corporate and company law as well as mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. von Wrede holds a Master of Law from the University of Passau and earned his Second State Examination in Dresden.
